Alex is TWO

My little boyfriend turns 2 today. He stole my heart the moment he was born and has been my best buddy ever since. He melts my heart with his beautiful eyes, huge heart, big curiosity, and high squeals ... Even though he has yet to say 'momma', he's as smart as they come. Alex is sweet, sensitive, and cautious. He's had a hard few months adjusting to being the middle child, but I hope he always knows how much I love my first little boy.

Happy birthday, my Alex Benjamin!

Trying so hard to put 2 fingers up.

Oh well.

I leave him for a minute to get Claire ready for Preschool and he does this:

Makes his own little pancake cake:

He's the cutest little pill ever!

Pa's 80th

With Jon and Jaclyn in town, we had a surprise 80th birthday for Pa. He had no idea, especially since his birthday isn't until September.  He is in love with the Boston Red Sox, so that was the theme:)

This picture makes all of us teary. I've never known any couple to be so devoted, in love, and better friends & companions than these two. They are our heroes!

Not only is she a natural BEAUTY but she's a natural rider too.

She's FOUR

My baby girl is F O U R. Anyone that meets her, loves her. She makes everyone of all ages feel like they are her best friend (whether you're a 50 yr old man or a 12 yr old girl).

She is smart, thoughtful, brave, adores her dad, has a mind of her own, loves to make people laugh, and is a leader. Sometimes when I look at her, I can't believe how lucky I am that I get to be her mom and be with her every day. She is one special girl. Happy birthday, Claire!!

We rented out the "Bug Room" at Kangaroo Zoo and took some of her friends for her party. It was AWESOME. Especially considering the new babe and lack of time and ambition to do something cute at home. We loved it.

St. George

I've never "vacationed" in St. George before and had been itching to try it out for a few days with both the kids. Kind of as a last little trip just the 4 of us. It turned out so perfect!  We stayed at the Green Valley Sports Club in a vacation rental (way better and cheaper than a hotel).

Monday we played at some parks and went swimming.

Amazed that the kids were actually looking at the camera in this one. It was set up by the edge of the pool on a timer.

Tuesday we went to the Temple and played on the grass:

And of course went swimming again.

Tuesday we also met up with some of our friends, the Clays and let the kids splash around:

Wednesday was my BIRTHDAY. We went to a fun breakfast at Black Bear Diner and then went to Pioneer Park to let the kids explore the rocks and sand. They loved it.

#35weeks

We also had a yummy birthday dinner at Red Robin and played with lots of bubbles.

Perfect trip with my besties.  They both were angels. Alex still takes a 10-12pm and 3-5pm nap which makes planning things a little tricky, but they both slept perfectly every night. Love spending time with all of them. We are so blessed and excited to add one more to the group in a few weeks!
