FIVE months

Here are each of the kids at 5 months. They're all so different to me!

He's getting good practice sitting up! He lasts a few seconds and then bends all the way in half to the floor. He's got a growing mohawk (Claire had the same thing) and we like it on him. He looks like his momma. He still has thrush, eczema, and a tongue tie we need to get clipped. He doesn't feed much from me anymore, so I pump all day. He has a great schedule and has been going to bed at 7:30pm, I feed him at 10pm and then he sleeps till morning. He takes 3 naps during the day; one around 10am, one around 1pm and another around 4pm. He smiles at everyone. He's SO chill (like my other babies). He can be on his play mat for 45 minutes without making hardly a peep, just happy as a lark. Claire and Alex adore him. He's definitely our favorite! :)

Can't believe it's almost been a half of a year since he was born. CRAZY.

Jace: 4 months

Weight: 14 lbs 11.5 oz  (30%)
Height: 25.5 in  (61%)
Head: 43 cm  (85%)

Jace is a big boy!  He's still average on the charts but our babies have always been so small, he's wearing things that Alex didn't wear until he was 8 months. It's crazy and I wasn't expecting it. So he's already outgrown SO many things that I hadn't gotten out yet. Sad!

He's my favorite. I am so in love with everything about him.

Update: He got thrush last week but luckily, I still had the stuff I used to knock Alex's out (after 4 months of taking Nystatin with Alex, the doctor finally gave me Diflucan and it was gone in hours) -- same thing with Jace. I gave him the Diflucan and within hours, ALL the white sores in his mouth were gone. Hooray!

His eczema has been so bad since he was 1 month old that he just constantly has scabs and bloody scratches all over his body. The back of his head, neck, back, arms, back of knees and ankles, etc.  Poor dude. It kills me. And I'm sure that it has had a hand in keeping him up at night. He's so itchy!! We tried EVERYTHING and finally we got a prescription for 2.5% hydrocortisone. We lathered him in it on Tuesday night(his entire skin was sandpaper, red spots, and itchy eczema circles) and when we woke up in the morning, his skin was PERFECT! Not a red spot to see! Medicine is amazing!!

His tongue is majorly tied. Which we'll just watch and take to a dentist if it starts to hinder his speech or anything. He's been pretty good with nursing.

Love this Squealer!!!

Yesterday we went up to Tibble to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather! {and finally get some two-year pictures of Alex} It was perfect! I also got dolled up (doesn't happen much these days) to get some of me and my baby... since I definitely don't get as many of Jace as I'd like and definitely don't get IN as many as I should.

Talk about C U T E.

Love this family of mine. Love love love them.

Soccer sass

Our days of soccer start now!  And Ben is the coach! I told him that would be his lot in life. He's perfect for it and the kids love him.

Claire at her first game:

She actually wouldn't' play a single minute at her first game. The moment she realized they all had to go for the same ball and didn't get their own (sharing problems), she was done. It was embarrassing and frustrating. BUT we worked hard the next week at practice (and even an extra practice) with ONE ball and she made amazing improvement by the next game. Hence her intense game face:

They've played 3 games so far and have done so great! It's not all butterfly catching and skipping, they actually play hard and are really good! We're excited she loves it!
